The Last Supper

Went to the doctor today and I'm 80% effaced and 3cm dilated. I feel like I've been in mini - labor for days! He believes there is a 90% chance labor will start within 48 hours!! So exciting!!! :)

To celebrate we went out to our last dinner as non parents. We can't wait to meet our little girl! Thanks for all the emails and phone calls. We love you all and will send an update soon :))))

Jackie's 2nd Visit

Our friend Jackie came to Austin to visit us again! We had a great time, went to a comedy show, San Antonio, shopping, spa day and of course gave her a "funication" of Austin's history. Thanks for coming out here again Jacks! You successfully kept my mind off baby for the weekend and made me laugh like always. We love you!

37 weeks

Went to the doctor today and my cervix is 1 cm dilated and 20% effaced. Haylee could come at anytime!! Yay! Can't wait to meet you :)

Weekend at Lake LBJ for Stacie's B-day

We went out to Lake LBJ which is about an hour from our house and rented a cabin with 8 of our friends for Stacie's 30th Birthday. Her husband Tom arranged everything as a surprise for her and we all had so much fun! We hope to make it a yearly vacation. On Saturday, everyone (except the Preggo girls & baby Kylee) went on a boat. Aaron wake boarded for the first time and had a lot of fun!

Visit from Grandma & Grandpa Harrison & cousin Blake

My parents and nephew came out from California for a short visit. It was great to see Blake and how big he is getting!! He really enjoyed playing pool and swimming in the pool! The long car ride...not so much!
Thanks for coming to Austin! We love you.

Texas Baby Shower

Our friends Tom & Stacie sure know how to throw a party! They went all out and even had a mojito bar with bartenders, a relay race that included pushing a stroller, a diaper change on a bear, chugging beer out of a baby bottle and spinning around on a bat! The girls got to decorate onesies and bibs and enjoy delicious & adorable cupcakes. Thanks for all the hard work....we are so lucky to have found friends like you guys.

Nor Cal Baby Shower

Thanks so much to Grandma Janet, Grandpa Rod and everyone that attended our baby shower! We had so much fun and really appreciated all the love and support. We are getting SO excited about baby Haylee's arrival....she will be here very soon!!

Aaron's 10 year High School Reunion!

While up in Stockton for the baby shower we attended Aaron's 10 yr HS reunion....wow, we must be getting old! It was fun to catch up with everyone.

Little Haylee's Room

All of you that know Tara, know how good she is at finding a deal and decorating things. Well, she summed up all her powers and effort and did an amazing job putting Haylee's room together. Great job babe, the room looks amazing. Now, all we need is a baby to arrive to complete it.  

New Belly Pics

25 weeks and counting and Haylee is starting to really grow now.  The last time we went to the doctor's office (June 30) she came in at about 1 pound 6ozs.  Our little baby is definitely growing, as you can see from the belly pic.  

First Pre-Father's Day

Seeing how I'm going to be a daddy in a few months, Tara decided to go ahead and get me Father's Day gift, fit with all the stuff I'll need for when little Haylee arrives.  The packet included the following: Marbles - To replace the one's I'll lose, Lifesavers - To remind me that she's the one, Safety Pin - to remind me to be safe, Watch - To remind me that time flies..enjoy every minute, Hershey's Kisses - because I deserve them, Stress Ball - Sometimes I'll need, Eraser - To remind me that every new dad makes mistakes, Rope - in case I'm at the end of mine, Toosie Roll - To remind me to roll with the punches, Face Mask - Because sometimes babies are stinky, Ear Plugs - Because sometimes babies are loud too, Book about babies - Read, highlight, Repeat, Beer - because it's Father's Day and you deserve it. 

It was a great gift from a wonderful wife. 

Tara's Surprise Party

I decided to throw Tara a surprise party for her birthday on June 16.  While I'm pretty sure she smelled something fishy (mostly because I can't keep a secret to save my life), she was still surprised at how many people were there.  Altogether we had 20 plus people show up throughout the night. A good time was had by all and everyone got to admire Tara's growing baby bump.  Happy Birthday Baby!

20wk belly pic

Here it is!! Seems to get bigger everyday :) Haylee Grace weights over 12 ounces and is 10.5" long! Every thing at my 20 wk dr. appt went great. She is moving around all the time, especially right after I eat :)

16 week Doctor appt.

Today we went to the doctor for our 16 week check up. The baby looked great and she was measuring a bit ahead for size....already up to 5 0z! When the ultrasound was first turned on the baby had the hiccups! It was SO cute and then for a while she was sucking her thumb or rubbing her eye, couldn't really tell, but it was cute too! Our next appt is the first week in June and they will do an anatomy scan to check and make sure all her organs are forming correctly!

12 week Dr. appt

This appointment we got to hear the baby's heart beat and see a more in depth sonogram. They took measurements of the fluid behind the neck to check for Downsyndrome or Trisomy 18 and our measurements can back great! The baby more than tripled in size and it is really looking more like a human baby now! They couldn't tell the sex of the baby yet, but at our next appt on May 2nd we'll know for sure! I also started taking belly pix, as it is sure to start growing here very soon!

Ryan moved to Austin!!

Stockton has suffered a great loss when Ryan Pottichen decided to move to the much cooler city of Austin! Hopefully we will be good hosts and he will enjoy this city as much as we do. As an official welcome to Texas we took Ryan to a Pat Green concert at Nutty Brown's with some friends. Good Times!

8 week Dr. Appt

Everything is looking good. They took blood, answered lots of questions, and we got to see our little baby's heart beat! It was so amazing to see that there is something really in there!

Janet's Visit

Janet came to Austin for the 1st time and we really enjoyed showing her around! We love you Mom!
